	WEAPONS & EQUIPMENT Chinese Longsword - This weapon is Xun's pride and joy. Wherever she goes, this weapon goes. Anyone trying to take it off her will lose the hand that touches it. A beautifully made double edged sword. It's origins, so Xun claims, are from China on Earth-That-Was. It does d10W damage. Tonfa (2) - Two short wooden sticks with handles sticking off them part way up them. They almost wouldn't look like a weapon, until Xun holds them. Seen her knock a man unconscious or break more than a few fingers with these. Xun tends to use these when she's ordered NOT to kill someone, which is fairly rare. They do d8S damage. Bo - Another of Xun's less dangerous weapons, or so we all thought till we saw her break a man’s ribs in four places with it. Now we just assume anything in her hands is dangerous. It is simply a short length of semi-flexible wood slightly taller than Xun. It does * Damage. Continued below:

TRAITS

   Athlete - Dodge (Major Asset) - Woman could run for three days straight if she wanted to I think. Not many folks will ever know but underneath those pretty dresses she wears she's got near no fat to speak of. Perfect body of an athlete. The gorram woman is more machine than human it seems the way she can run, jump all over the place then fight half a dozen bad guys and not even get a bead of sweat on her brow.
   Branded (Major Complication) - Some of the rumours floating around about Xun are just damn scary, but scarier still is you could believe every one of them. She's got a rep' for wholesale slaughter that makes a gorram reaver look nice. Main rumour goin' round is about how she killed a bunch of people from the place that trained her. All the other rumours start from that point. If you looked into it you'd find a trail of corpses from her supposed trainin' spot out on an isolated place on the Rim all the ways into the Core then right back out again. Still dunno why we hired her, guess we figured she woulda killed us all when we met her if she'd wanted us dead. Still...
   Chip on the Shoulder (Major Complication) - Always, always mind your words 'round Xun. She's got a temper that explodes like a volcano if you're not careful. If you're lucky she'll just break a few of your bones before she gets a hold of herself. If your unlucky… Well, lets just say you don't wanna be unlucky. Makes her damn hard to control sometimes out on the job. We're pinned down by bad guys, then one gets a lucky graze on Xun. She's up and out of cover faster than a ship can jump. Headin’ straight for the guy, screaming her head off. Its a mite hard to try and negotiate at that point.
   Deadly Enemy (Minor Complication) - You ask Xun if she's got any enemies she'll just look away and not say anything. Learn to watch her for a bit and you notice she gets a might jumpy anytime she sees someone with a sword, or if someone asks at a bar looking for a woman. I think she's got someone after her, good luck finding out who they are or why they're chasin' her. She certainly ain’t gonna tell.
   Intimidatin' Manner (Minor Asset) - If there's one thing most folks will agree on 'bout Xun is she's one scary woman. She don't even need to be holding a weapon to your throat and you get the feeling you'll be dead in under five seconds if you don't do what she wants. Those dark brown eyes can freeze you in place, it’s like looking at a boulder rolling down a hill at you. You can run but it won't help much.
   Lightnin' Reflexes (Major Asset) - Xun is one of those people you can never catch off guard. She's always on her toes. Some folks think she's a might twitchy but its nothing like that, she just likes to always be ready for anything. Seems like she is most times. Never once seen a bad guy get the drop on her. Folk come screaming out of locked doors at her but she's always got her sword half drawn it seems, from the way they go down as fast as they come out.
   Mean Left Hook (Minor Asset) - Dunno where she learnt it or if it just comes to her naturally but Xun has one heck of a punch. Bad guy think its safe if she don't draw her sword. Couldn't be more wrong. Seen her burst a guy's kidney one time with a punch, not a pleasant way to die.
   Overconfident (Minor Complication) - If there's one thing that gets Xun in trouble its thinkin' she's gorram invincible. She's charged more than her share of large groups of bad guys without a second’s hesitation. Sometimes seems like it’s been trained into her to think she's the best no matter what and that she can take down a whole space station by herself.
   Superstitious (Minor Complication) - Never seen anything like it. Woman that can kill a man a hundred different ways, gets all jumpy and twitchy at anything to do with the supernatural. Bird flies past the window or there’s some spooky noise you can't work out where its coming from, Xun'll look mighty worried. Seen her flat out run from a fortune teller one time. Course no-one makes fun of her for it, 'less they don't wanna need to eat ever again.
   Tough as Nails (Minor Asset) - Xun is tough. Man might think she's fragile on account of being a woman. They'd be damn wrong. Took a bullet to the shoulder and then gutted the guy that shot her without pausing to even wince. Sometimes think she's made of iron the way she carries on.


	ROLEPLAYING NOTES “What can you say about Xun beyond how deadly she is with her fists or any weapon besides a gun. No-one knows too much about her, damn hard to pry information from. Mainly because if she don't wanna tell you and you press her she won't give you harsh words, she'll just give you a broken bone for your trouble. “She's on the ship because she'll kill whoever you ask her to no matter how gorram insane it'd sound to anyone else. She'd go after a confederate general if the pay was right. Just as long as you pay her and give her a room on the ship to call her own. She'll do anything that lets her use her weapons. “She's got some funny looking weapons too, all simple like, no fancy guns or explosives like most of the toughs employed by men in charge 'round the verse. She claims she got given them all by her 'master'. Whatever that means. “What folks do know about her though is she was apparently trained by some famous school of martial arts out on the Rim and was even looking like she might become the next person in charge of the place. Then something happened and she was tossed out on her pretty little behind with a warning if she ever came back she'd die quick-like. After that you got a whole lot of bad rumours about her. Barfights that ended up as slaughterhouses. Gangs of bad guys holding charge of a town suddenly disappearing as if they never were. Things that some folk would consider a blessing and other things they'd consider a curse. They all involve wholesale slaughter however. “Man might look into those pretty brown eyes of hers if she weren't looking back and wonder how they coulda watched hundreds of men die. The moment they focus on you though you'd realise how easy it woulda been for them. Never seen such eyes. The eyes of a cold-blooded killer.”

		WEAPONS & EQUIPMENT Kama (2) - A short handle made of wood with a short curved blade on the end. Two of them. Someone once asked Xun why she even had these if she had a sword. Her reply was to move in next to the fella that asked the question and hold one of the these things at his throat, the other 'tween his legs. They do d6W damage. Qiang Spear - No one bothered to ask why Xun had this. We all found out anyway one job when she held off five or six goons by herself in a narrow hallway with this as the rest of us made our escape. This is a spear with a bright red tassel attached to the end of the wooden shaft. it does d6W damage and has a long reach. Composite Bow - Xun has a funny sense of honour. She looks down on us all for usin' firearms and the like, yet she has a damn fine bow and uses it a damn sight better than a lot of people shooting guns off all round the 'verse. This is a well made composite bow with a range of 105 feet. It does d6W damage. Ballistic Mesh - Xun claims to wear this so she can die 'with honour in combat', as opposed to getting shot at ten paces with a pistol. Dead’s dead, some folks tell her. She just laughs and points to her sword and replies "If I die by someone with one of these, it was because he was better with it than me. Not because he can pull a trigger and point in my general direction." It blocks 1 Wound from any source, and will convert 8 Wounds of damage from bullets to Stun, it covers torso, arms and legs.
